Jewish Single Parents
Summer is here and we’re gearing up for the JCC Maccabi Games that San Diego is hosting for the first time, August 3-8! Sign up to volunteer today—it’s a great way to meet people, and do a mitzvah at the same time! Opening ceremonies will take place on Sunday evening, August 3 at Cox Arena. Spectators also need to register online in order to receive credentials. Go to www.sdmaccabi.org for more information and to register.
Save the date for our next singles event:
Break the Fast – Thursday, October 9
(Details to be announced.)
Check out all the opportunities to meet Jewish singles and young professionals in the San Diego community under “Community Groups” in the e-Schmooze News. For example, here are a few of our community partners:
Jewish single parents - see Jewish Family Service’s Supporting Jewish Single Parents program.
If you’re between the ages of 25-45 (singles, couples, families) - join YAD, United Jewish Federation’s Young Adult Division.
Know of anyone 21-26, go to the JABA page to see their upcoming events.
The JCC has something for everyone! Look through our website for cultural events such as the San Diego Jewish Music Series and Jewish Book Fair. We offer a variety of fitness classes including yoga, Pilates, and Aerobics, and there are camps and after-school programs for preschoolers and youth as well as J*Company, our children’s performing arts program. While you’re at the “J”, come see our newly renovated Friedenberg Pool! There’s a lot to do at the Lawrence Family JCC, so stop by. (You never know who you might meet while working out or listening to a lecture….)
