Seniors Overview

The Senior Adult Department of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS, promotes Jewish cultural heritage and values by providing social, educational, and recreational programs. Through these programs we strengthen our connections to our community and keep alive our history and traditions. The Senior Adult Program encourages us to learn, grow and enrich our lives among others who share our values.

To address the problem of senior isolation, the JCC has been awarded a grant for a pilot transportation program for seniors who have no means of transportation, exclusively to and from the JCC.

Through this grant, we have established a limited taxi voucher program and are also working with the MTS Access transportation system for the disabled. Applicants will be interviewed briefly to assess qualifications.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Please stop by the Senior Department offices or the Fitness Front Desk to fill out an "Emergency Form." These will only be used just in case something should happen to you while participating in a JCC program or working out in our facility, and we need to know whom to contact on your behalf (closest relative, preferred hospital, doctors number, etc.). If you have filled one out in the past, please complete a new one so that we have the most current information available.
