MEET THE ARTISTS

Jane Rubin
I have been an artist for over four decades. As a teenager, I loved painting flowers, people, and the ocean on beach rocks. After graduating from Art Center College of Design I began my professional art career in illustration and fine art. My mother was an inspired artist and also a docent at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art. I loved seeing and learning about art with her. I am passionate about international travel, keeping a travel diary to capture slices of life with my art wherever I go. Painting cats around the world began when I observed how much my sister loved them. I delight in following my intuition, and adding whimsy to my colorful artwork.

Michelle Kantor
I’ve been artistic, I think forever. It's influenced by my travels where I am constantly falling in love with the majestic museums full of unimaginable art, people, places, and mother nature. My professional career of over 30 years in interior design and architecture provided a perfect path for my creative outlet. My commitment to full-time painting has been over a period of 15 years. I would describe myself as a color expressionist and love sharing a story with my art.
