David Ellenstein

David Ellenstein has been the Artistic Director of North Coast Repertory Theatre since 2003. Prior to that, he served as Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Repertory Company and The Arizona Jewish Theatre. As a professional theatre artist for 45 years, David has worked at theatres from San Diego to Maine, from Miami to Alaska, and most places in between. A veteran of more than 300 productions, favorite acting roles include the title roles in Hamlet and Richard III, Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof, Andre in A Walk In The Woods, and Max Prince in Laughter on the 23 rd Floor. As director favorites include, Way Down River, The Chosen, The Glass Menagerie, Halpern And Johnson and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. David has appeared in dozens of film and television programs and has taught theatre at numerous Universities.
