Senior Adult Department

The Senior Adult Department of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center promotes Jewish cultural heritage and values by providing social, educational, and recreational programs. Through these programs we strengthen our connections to our community and keep alive our history and traditions. The Senior Adult Program encourages us to learn, grow and enrich our lives among others who share our values.

MEDICARE COUNSELING

Free counseling at the JCC once a month! The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) provides individual and confidential counseling related to Medicare and long-term care insurance. State certified HICAP counselors can help you with these services and more:

• Understand your Medicare benefits.
• Review Medicare Advantage options (HMO, PPO, PFFS).
• Compare Part D drug plans.

HICAP counseling on Medicare will be at the JCC once a month on the third Tuesday for one hour appointments between 12:00 and 3:00 P.M. To make an appointment with a counselor call 1-800-434-0222 or 858-565-8772.

LEGAL SERVICES

Free legal guidance and counseling opportunities on the third Friday of each month (mornings, by appointment) in the Garb Senior Activity Center. For an appointment, contact Melanie Rubin: 858.362.1141
