Sharleen Wollach

After decades of volunteering and serving the community, while working in the for-profit world and raising two children, Sharleen joined the Jewish Community Foundation in 2009. She oversees the Foundation’s impactful programs, leading teams that educate and inspire both donors and grantees. Sharleen designs and develops innovative programs, including the expansion of the Create a Jewish Legacy initiative in partnership with Jewish agencies, day schools, and synagogues to foster long-term sustainability. Additionally, she manages the Governance Leadership Institute (GLI), empowering community organizations with best practices in board governance.

At the heart of all these programs is the invaluable role of volunteers. Sharleen is known for her ability to attract, engage, and inspire individuals to take on leadership roles and contribute to collective success. A respected community leader, Sharleen’s energetic style and creative content reflect her passion for making a positive impact. Her work has strengthened Jewish San Diego and beyond, and her ongoing dedication continues to shape a brighter future for the community.
