About Shalom Baby

Shalom Baby is designed to help San Diego families raising Jewish children celebrate the arrival of their Jewish newborns and welcome them to the San Diego Jewish Community through gift baskets, playgroups, social events, holiday celebrations, and resource guides.

This successful outreach program has expanded to meet new parents' needs by offering: infant massage, Shalom Baby Together – You & Me music and movemement, baby book clubs, sleep solutions classes, and more.

Join Natalie Epstein, a certified doula and childbirth educator for an informative workshop designed to equip couples like you with the tools and knowledge to navigate your childbirth, including movement, breathing, and engaging in dialogue.

Goals for these classes are:
- Gain practical knowledge and education of what is birth, what to expect in the hospital, and how to prepare for postpartum
- Mothers will gain confidence in their ability to birth, and fathers/partners will believe in their ability to support the mother
- Learn practices to cope during labor
- Prepare for birth as a transforming experience, each parent will find their path to their inner strength and wisdom
- Parents will connect with each other and other parents in their community

From our first meeting in September 2005, our babies have continued to grow up together - learning and developing and preserving the friendships and bonds built a decade ago.
