Student Matinees

At JCompany Youth Theatre, we’re passionate about bringing the magic of live theatre to the next generation. Our Student Matinee Program is designed to ignite the imagination of young audiences and make high-quality, professional theatre an integral part of their education. By partnering with educators, we strive to inspire students to see the powerful connections between the stories on stage and their own lives.

Financial Commitment
Participating in the student matinee program requires a subsidized fee of $10 per student and $5 per chaperone. School groups are responsible for arranging their own transportation. We suggest speaking with your school administration or organization leader about potential grants or funding opportunities for buses. Public transportation is also an option if you are near a stop.

Eligibility
All schools, including charter schools, private schools, homeschool networks, and community organizations serving young people, are welcome to apply. Priority enrollment will be given to schools in under-resourced communities within San Diego County.
